# Native Skills

Native skills are pre-built, production-ready capabilities and available to all agents without additional configuration. Unlike custom skills that are organization-specific, native skills provide standardized, tested functionality for common document generation, data transformation, and content creation tasks.

These skills execute within the agent's secure sandbox environment using the `execute` tool, leveraging industry-standard Python libraries to generate professional-quality output files. Each skill follows consistent patterns for file delivery, validation, and error handling, ensuring reliable performance across diverse use cases.

#### Key Characteristics

* **Zero Configuration**: Native skills are immediately available to all agents without installation or setup
* **Standardized Implementation**: Built on proven Python libraries with consistent helper scripts and validation
* **Sandbox Execution**: All operations run in isolated environments with proper resource management
* **File Delivery Integration**: Seamless integration with the file-link skill for secure download link generation
* **Production Tested**: Extensively validated across enterprise use cases and edge conditions

#### Available Native Skills

#### Document Generation Skills

* **pdf-generator:** Generate professional PDF documents from structured content, supporting both styled layouts via HTML-to-PDF conversion and programmatic document construction.
* **docx-generator:** Create richly formatted Microsoft Word documents with headings, tables, images, table of contents, headers/footers, and page numbers. 
* **ppt-generator:** Build professional PowerPoint presentations from outlines, briefs, or structured specifications.
* **html-generator:** Generate standalone, self-contained HTML files with inline CSS and JavaScript. 
* **markdown-generator:** Create well-structured Markdown files.
* **email-generator:** Draft professional email content in plain text or HTML template form. 
* **resume-generator:** Generate modern styled resumes/CVs in PDF or HTML format.
* **invoice-generator:** Create professional, itemized invoices with automatic calculations for subtotals, taxes, and totals. 

#### Data Export Skills

* **csv-generator:** Generate CSV or TSV files using Python's `csv` module or pandas. 
* **xlsx-generator:** Create Excel workbooks with formulas, charts, multiple sheets, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.
* **json-generator:** Generate validated JSON files for configurations, API payloads, mock data, and structured data dumps. 
* **yaml-generator:** Create YAML files for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and application configuration. 
* **chart-generator:** Generate data visualizations as standalone image or HTML files. 

#### Specialized Skills

* **text-to-sql:** Translate natural language queries into dialect-correct SQL statements with validation.

#### System Skills (Always-On)

* **file-link *****(Hidden from UI) :*** Internal skill that handles file persistence and download link generation for all file-producing skills. Automatically available to deepagents regardless of configuration.
* **interrupt-request *****(Hidden from UI):***Internal skill that enables agents to request user clarification or approval during task execution. Automatically available for human-in-the-loop workflows.

#### Add Native Skills in Prompt Playground

Follow the steps below to add skills  in the **Prompt Playground**.

* Navigate to the **Prompt Playground**.
* Select the prompt (Agent/Deep agent )to which you want to add a Skill.

* Open the **Skills** tab.

* In the Skills panel, select **Add new → Native**.
* The right panel displays a searchable list of all available Native Skills.

* Each Native Skill card displays:
  * **Skill name:** The name of the Skill.
  * **Description** : A short summary of what the Skill provides.
  * **Explore files** : Opens the Skill’s file structure and content for review before activation.
* Use the search field to find a Skill by name, or use the **All**, **Active**, and **Inactive** tabs to filter Skills by status.
* To review a Skill before adding it, select **Explore files** on the Skill card.
* The **Native Skill Explorer** opens, where you can browse the Skill's file structure and review its contents.
* To activate the Skill, select **Add** on the Skill card or enable the Skill using the toggle in the Native Skill Explorer.

After activation, the Skill is added to the prompt's **Active Skills** list and becomes available during prompt execution.

#### **Remove a Native Skill**

To remove an active Native Skill:

* Select **Remove** on the Skill card, or
* Disable the Skill using the toggle in the **Native Skill Explorer**.

The Skill is removed from the prompt immediately.
