# Skill Integration in Workflows

When you add an **Agent** or **Deep Agent** node to a workflow, you assign a prompt to that node. Any skills attached to that Agent are automatically activated when the node executes.

Both Agent and Deep Agent nodes support skills, but Deep Agent nodes are the preferred choice for skill-intensive workflows due to their enhanced reasoning capabilities, multi-turn memory, and ability to handle complex, context-rich tasks. Agent nodes are suited for simpler, single-turn interactions where extensive domain knowledge is less critical.

The workflow with Skills is as follows:

In the workflow, the available skills are aligned with the selected prompt version, ensuring that only the skills associated with that specific version are available for use. You can navigate from a workflow to the specific skill version used in the prompt playground.

Upon successful testing, publishing, and deployment, workflows with attached skills are available for integration with copilots. Webhook-based recipes, equipped with the relevant skills, are promoted to production-ready status and can be executed in live environments.
